Uday Turaga, PhD

Uday Turaga is Founder & CEO of ADI Analytics and CEO of CMR. He brings 20 years of industry experience gained at ExxonMobil, Phillips 66, Booz, ADI, Penn State, and National Chemical Laboratory. Turaga holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry, a PhD in fuel science from Penn State, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He spent his early career in technical roles on metallocene development for EPDM synthesis and catalyst scale-up and commercialization for industrial hydrocarbon conversions at the Phillips 66 R&D center, which is a National Historic Chemical Landmark for the discovery of polypropylene and high-density polyethylene. Turaga brings deep commercial and technical expertise in oil and gas and chemicals and specializes in corporate strategy, market research, economic analysis, competitive intelligence, and technology assessments. In addition to authoring over 100 papers and patents, he has been recognized by the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, the American Chemical Society, and the Penn State Alumni Association. Finally, Turaga has been featured in various news and media outlets including Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, and Bloomberg, and is a frequent speaker on energy issues at conferences and events globally.

Faiza Tanvir

Faiza Tanvir is the Director of Operations at ADI Analytics and producer of the ADI Forum. She leads the administrative team and functions at ADI including marketing and social media management, IT, HR, and vendor, partner, and client relationships. Since joining the company in 2013, Tanvir has also supported many consulting teams and projects. She was educated at Houston Community College and the University of Houston.

Panuswee Dwivedi

Panuswee Dwivedi is Project Manager at ADI Analytics and ADI Chemical Market Resources. She brings experience in the oil and gas, reservoir evaluation and management, and drilling and production in the upstream sector. She is a research professional who has used a mix of primary and secondary research to size segments, understand the economics, and competitive landscape of the crude and natural gas, across the value chain. She holds M.Sc. in petroleum engineering from University of Houston, and B.Tech. in petroleum engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, India, with internship experience in production engineering from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, India.

Peter Hanik

Peter Hanik is an Executive Advisor at ADI Chemical Market Resources.  Pete has developed proprietary on-site and on-line services for innovation methods in business strategy, business process redesign, capital efficiency improvement, product concept development, intellectual property enhancement and technology roadmapping.

Pete was previously President, Technology at Reliance Industries, Mumbai, where he led research and development programs in refining, petrochemicals and polymers with a staff of about 300 professionals.  Prior to that, Pete was Senior Vice President of Technology, (Research & Development, Quality and Health Safety & Environmental and e-Business) at Millennium Chemicals, President and CEO of Millennium Petrochemicals, Vice President Chemicals & Supply Chain at Quantum Chemical, Vice President Reengineering and Information Systems at Quantum Chemical, Director Applied Research & Technical Service at Quantum Chemical, Regional Sales Manager at Northern Petrochemical, Engineering Manager at Northern Petrochemical and Production Superintendent at Northern Petrochemical.

Pete holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago.  Pete has served the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers Association (AFPM) as a member of Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Steering Committee, Petrochemical Committee (Chairman), and Program Chairman for the 2002 International Petrochemical Conference.  Pete has served as a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Industrial Advisory Board 2002 – 2004.  Pete is a Registered Professional Engineer (Nebraska).

Deepti Kesiraju

Deepti Kesiraju holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics and an MBA in marketing. She brings nearly 10 years of experience in accounting, marketing, capital projects, commodity trading, trading back office operations, and financial analysis in the oil and gas industry with leading companies including ConocoPhillips and BG Group. She supports internal operations with emphasis on marketing and finance at ADI Analytics.

Vis Viswanathan, PhD

Vis Viswanathan brings over 35 years of oil and gas, coal, and chemical industry experience with leading companies such as ConocoPhillips, Akzo-Nobel, Nexant, and Lummus in roles spanning corporate strategy, technology assessments, innovation and R&D, and process economics and modeling. He is renowned for his deep expertise and broad experience in shale gas and unconventional resources, natural gas processing and monetization, coal gasification and utilization, biofuels and bioenergy, chemicals, and materials. Viswanathan holds two degrees in chemical engineering — a PhD from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai — and has published and patented extensively and has presented at a number of leading industry conferences.

Maria E. Lopes
Maria Eduarda Lopes is a lead analyst at ADI Analytics. Lopes will complete on May 23’ her MS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University with a focus on CCUS (Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization) in shale formations.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, Brazil.  Lopes has worked in an integrated energy company for around two years, bringing ethanol and oil products trading experience.
Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson is an Executive Advisor at ADI Chemical Market Resources. She has worked in the polymers industry for over 30 years, and most recently as the Manager of Strategic Projects covering innovation, business development and commercial issues for Braskem. Her previous role at Braskem was managing Technical Service for polypropylene across all market segments, with a primary focus on automotive / compounding and rigid packaging.

Thompson started her career as a process engineer in the Unipol licensing group at Union Carbide, supported manufacturing as a research engineer at USS Chemicals, moved into polypropylene technical service at Aristech and was a product manager for polypropylene at Sunoco. Thompson holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University and a M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Pittsburgh.

Robert Bauman

Robert “Bob” Bauman, President of Polymer Consulting International, is an Executive Advisor at ADI Chemical Market Resources. Bauman has more than 50 years of experience in the polymers/petrochemicals business.

He began his career in 1966 in plant operations producing LDPE, HDPE and vinyl acetate monomer with the US Industrial Chemicals complex in La Porte, Texas (now part of LyondellBasell). He joined Chem Systems, an international consulting firm, in 1980, which was acquired by IBM in 1998 and Nexant in 2001. In 2004, he relocated to Houston. He was the Vice President of the Polymers Business Practice for the Americas and Asia, and Director of Latin American consulting when he retired in 2008 and established Polymer Consulting International (PCI) with offices in Houston and Tarrytown, NY. Bauman holds B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from New York University.

Laura Weaver

Laura Weaver is an Executive Advisor at ADI Chemical Market Resources. She has worked in the polymers industry for over 35 years, with 30 years combined at DOW and Dupont Dow Elastomers and most recently as a technical associate for specialty plastics application development for Eastman Chemical Company.

Weaver’s previous responsibilities include global application development, finding/developing pipeline of new applications for existing as well as new products, linking customer critical requirements to product solutions coupled with proficiency in fabrication processes such as extrusion (sheet and profile), calendaring, injection molding, thermoforming, profile extrusion, Rotational and powder slush molding, cast and blown films. Her experience lies with thermoset polyurethanes, polyolefin elastomers, copolyesters, TPC elastomers, and biobased cellulose acetate propionates.

Weaver started her career with Dow as a chemical engineer focused on low density reinforced and glass mat reinforced reaction injection molding (urethane composites) or automotive interior applications. Weaver holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.

Bhautik Gajera

Bhautik Gajera is an analyst at ADI Analytics. He completed his master in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston with expertizing in reservoir engineering and management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, India. Gajera has hands-on experience on optimizing various reservoir programs and analyzing data within the oil and gas industry.

Piercen Hoekstra

Piercen Hoekstra is an analyst with ADI Analytics. He graduated from the University of Houston in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a minor in business administration. Hoekstra has completed multiple projects modeling chemical processes with a focus on evaluating process economics.
